Our Story

Welcome to Vintage Treasures1955,
– The Thrifted Greenhouse Life
It started with plants. And kids. And thrift store aisles I could cry in if I needed to.
When my kids were really little, my husband was working constantly to support us.
I was home — all day, every day — carrying a kind of love that was heavy sometimes.
On the hardest days, we’d just get in the car and go.
Sometimes to a local greenhouse. Sometimes to Goodwill.
Those became our rituals — soft little escapes that felt like oxygen.
And slowly, they became part of who we are.
As the kids got older, I started asking them:
“Where do you want to go today?”
Sometimes they’d say both.
Thrift store first, then plants. Or the other way around.
It wasn’t fancy. It was real. And those quiet traditions turned into something much bigger.
Eventually, those little outings turned into a life.
First, it was plants on windowsills.
Then a greenhouse my husband built me — one of the greatest gifts I’ve ever been given.
Then chickens. Then art. Then jars. Then a booth. Then a blog. Then a whole shop.
Now Vintage Treasures 1955 is the place where all of that lives.
It’s not perfectly curated.
It’s not algorithm-approved.
But it’s mine.
And it’s full of stories — things I’ve thrifted, planted, or created with my own two hands.
If you’ve ever needed beauty to breathe, or ritual to stay grounded, or a reminder that you’re not doing it all wrong — I hope you find it here.
This shop is built from joy, but also from exhaustion, creativity, motherhood, soil, and Saturdays spent thrifting with kids in the backseat.
It’s always been a little wild. And that’s exactly how I like it.
